Hello, my name is Evan J Harmeling, I’m a sophomore at Thomas More College, and I am an actor in the Villa Players. Even though I’m a biology major, I still have time to participate in band and theatre. I’m from a large sized theatre program. The transition into the Villa Players was easy because everyone was so welcoming of new talent. The atmosphere at Thomas More allows for close relationships with my teachers.

Hi! My name is Sofie Vietas, and I'm a sophomore at Thomas More College, as well as a member of the honors program. Even though I'm double majoring in Middle School and Theatre Education, I still have time to participate in theatre, campus ministry, and other events around campus. I am a member of the Villa Players, and I've been privileged to work both onstage as an actor, as well as behind the scenes doing set building and lights work. I was homeschooled, and dabbled in many areas in theatre. The transition into the Villa players was easy, because of the family atmosphere and a lot of encouragement to explore all areas of theatre. In addition to acting and technical work, I will be stage managing and directing in the future. Thomas More allows me to participate in and learn from these activities, someday bringing these skills into my classroom.

I'm Samantha Darpel, and I am a First-Year Student at Thomas More College. After performing in Frankenstein and Christmas Carol during the first semester, I found my true love with theatre. My experience led me to change my intended major from Nursing to Communication and Management with a concentration in Theatre. I work four jobs and take at least 18 credit hours per semester, but I am still able to manage nightly rehearsals because of the support and flexibility of the Villa Players community and staff. Because of my experience with Thomas More's theatre program, I am directing at Covington Latin High School. Throughout high school, at Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, I was challenged to better myself but never felt supported enough to do so. Since becoming a Saint, I have become infinitely more confident in my abilities as an actor and person as a whole. Thanks to the encouragement and support of my Theatre family, I have gotten to continue in my involvement with Theatre while still maintaining a very hectic schedule. Thomas More truly is the place for a well-rounded, individualized education. I'm excited to continue my already growing career in the Cincinnati area and do what I truly love: making others happy.
