Welcome from Our Dean of Students

Welcome to Student Life at Thomas More University. The student life office works closely with our students to ensure a rewarding college experience. It is our goal to provide a nurturing environment where students may develop emotionally, socially, and spiritually as they grow intellectually.

Student life is responsible for those activities that take place outside of the classroom. The student life staff is committed to advocating for students; challenging students to accept responsibility for their choices and holding students accountable; educating and consulting with faculty, staff, and students; coordinating processes that uphold community values; proactively addressing and responding to a crisis, and providing opportunities for students to develop. We engage students and cultivate opportunities for academic and personal achievement through service, education, advocacy, and community building.

The office of student life also encompasses the Dean of Students Office. This office is the principal resource for the interpretation and regulation of policies and procedures as these apply to the non-academic aspects of student life. The mission of the Dean of Students Office is to contribute to the educational mission of the University by initiating programs and services that support an environment conducive to academic and personal development.

I encourage you to visit the offices and websites of each unit within the Office of Student Life. Take advantage of the programs, workshops, and services that are provided for you. Better yet, enhance your skills as you become a member and a leader within a student organization. Work with us and allow us to join you in your pursuit of excellence at TMU.

If you have any issues or concern regarding your rights as a student or grievances regarding your experience outside of the classroom, please e-mail me or the Student Life Office at cameroa@thomasmore.edu.
