Dr. Luis M. Sierra, Ph.D.

Luis joined Thomas More College in fall of 2016. Luis earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Latin American Studies and History at the University of New Mexico. He completed his Master’s and Ph.D. in Latin American History with fields in Comparative Urban History and United States History at Binghamton University (State University of New York). His research focuses on urbanization and indigenous politics in La Paz, Bolivia. He teaches World Civilizations and US History as well as upper division courses in Environmental History, US and Latin American Relations, The History of Modern Sports, and recently taught a course on the Piracy and Black Markets.
