After several weeks of no positive cases, we currently have two (2) positive cases. Four (4) students are currently in quarantine, none of whom are on campus. This serves as a reminder that we must not become complacent. All indicators remain in the Low Alert Threshold.

Governor Andy Beshear announced all Kentuckians 16 and older will be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine April 5. To see all vaccination sites and free transportation options to and from vaccination appointments, visit vaccine.ky.gov. To see a list of vaccination sites that have openings this week, visit vaccinemap.ky.gov. If Kentuckians have questions, they should call the state’s COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline, 855-598-2246.

While vaccinations are not mandatory for our students or employees, vaccines are highly encouraged based on CDC guidance. Once fully vaccinated, please submit your vaccination record through MyTMU so that we are able to monitor vaccinations in our community.

Here are several additional resources if you have questions about the vaccine:

We know that prevention steps are still important as vaccines are being distributed. As stated by CDC in their guidance for vaccinated individuals, “After you’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you should keep taking precautions in public places like wearing a mask, staying 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds.” Our Healthy at Thomas More policies still require masks to be worn on campus, request daily self-monitoring for symptoms, and recommend proper social distancing.

Thank you for your continued attention to the safety and well-being of our community.
