You will have a wide variety of options after you graduate. You may choose to work professionally in the field as an actor, playwright, designer, technician, front office worker or manager of local and regional arts organizations. You may also work in academic theatre at either the secondary or collegiate levels. If you are interested in continuing in the field, you are encouraged to seek more specialized training in an area of choice at either the professional or graduate school level.
Your career outside the theatre could be in such fields as law, personnel work, library science, or sales.
Graduates of the Thomas More Theatre program have continued their training in many of the top theatre programs in the country, including Ohio State University, University of South Carolina, Florida State University, Purdue University, University of Cincinnati, Ohio University, University of Missouri-Kansas City, University of North Carolina, Catholic University of America, University of Iowa, New York University and Northwestern University.
Among the professional companies for which our graduates have worked are: Playhouse In The Park, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, Actor's Theatre of Louisville, Shakespeare in the Park, The Human Race Theatre, Theatre In The Square, Stage West in Canada, and in New York, The Signature Theatre, The York Theatre, The Theatre of the Open Eye and Circle In The Square.
