Degree Requirements

Thomas More College offers a bachelor's and associate's degree program in Political Science. Co-op and internship opportunities are available in governmental, managerial and legal settings and are integral parts of the program.

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN POLITICAL SCIENCE

• Political Science Core (18 hours): POS 105, 106, 230, 290, 324, 499
• Political Science Electives (24 hours): 6 hours from each of the four following categories:
• American Government and Politics: POS 206, 306, 425, SOC 248, COM 340
• World Politics: POS 329, 335, 336, 435, 438, 439, 442, 452, 465, SOC 381
• Public Administration and Political Theory: POS 215, 370, 440, 491, PHI 235, SOC 325
• Political Economy: ECO 105 and three hours from ECO 206, 215, 216, 238, 260, 305, 310
• Students fulfill the core requirement in computer literacy by demonstrating proficiency in the use of standard word processing, as well as a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, in POS 499.
