THE MAT PROGRAM AT THOMAS MORE COLLEGE IS A DEGREE PROGRAM WHICH LEADS TO TEACHER CERTIFICATION. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR THOSE WHO HOLD BACHELOR’S DEGREES AND WISH TO TEACH MIDDLE SCHOOL (Grades 5-9) OR SECONDARY (Grades 8-12).
WE OFFER CERTIFICATION AREAS IN THE FOLLOWING CONTENT/TEACHING FIELDS: Middle Grades English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies AND Secondary Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Speech/Media Communications. Art (Grades P-12), Theatre (Grades P-12), and Business and Marketing (Grades 5-12).
The Bachelor’s Degree must be aligned with the selected content area.
