On that evening, students will be able to apply to ask their questions about student services, programs and degrees offered by the college, apply to TMC, apply for financial aid, or meet with students to learn about life at Thomas More. Representatives from the Institute for Learning Differences, Admissions, Disability Services, Academics, and Financial Aid will be available to address your questions and process your paperwork.

The evening is designed to learn more about the Institute for Learning Differences and assist students with the application process. It is an exciting and overwhelming time when a child transitions into college. The role of you, as a parent, will be shifting; understanding how to best support your child as they grow into adulthood is essential. Supporting your student as they learn to self-advocate if part of this new role which may be difficult since you have been their primary advocate and best champion for success. Encouraging your student to use the resources available to them, helping them develop the language to express their needs, and allowing them to practice their developing advocacy skills is a wonderful way to begin their transition. You are encouraged to reach out to the Institute for Learning Differences if you have any questions or need guidance as you work to support your child on this new adventure.
