Thomas More College is a Catholic liberal arts institution, located in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. Founded in 1921 as Villa Madonna College by the Benedictine Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery, Thomas More College currently serves a population of just over 1,600 students on its main campus and at a satellite location in Blue Ash, Ohio. The Library holds approximately 140,000 volumes of books, e-books, periodicals and audio-visual materials and is a selective depository of U.S. government documents.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include rendering reference assistance, using both print and electronic resources; planning and implementing library instruction; creating and updating bibliographic guides; and managing the Library’s collection of U.S. government documents. The Reference/Government Documents Librarian is part of an evening and weekend rotation with other staff and shares library instruction duties with the Library Director.
Qualifications: An ALA-accredited Master’s degree is required, along with strong interpersonal , organizational, computer, research and communication skills. The Reference/Government Documents Librarian must have a valid driver’s license and transportation for occasional trips to the Blue Ash campus. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in using EBSCOhost and other similar databases, as well as LibGuides. A basic knowledge of web design is also desired.
Salary & Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits package includes tuition remission.
