Description: Thomas More College invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Finance. The Vice President will report to the President and provide the leadership of the financial affairs of the College. This individual will provide overall financial and strategic direction for the budgetary and fiscal affairs of the College. The Vice President of Finance oversees the physical plant, IT department as well as the financial services, including the Controller’s department and budget management. The successful candidate must have a MBA or equivalent education and proven record in successful financial management and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administrators of the College. Priority will be given to individual with experience in non-profit organizations. Overview
The individual in this position manages the daily operations of the College's administrative software application by providing ongoing technical and system-level support for mission critical, enterprise administrative systems and applications.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Manage and support the Jenzabar CX information system and corresponding Informix relational database in support of the College and its departments.
  • Works closely with the college community to ensure proper use of the software
  • Serve as liaison with Computer Center staff for identifying system problems and developing enhancements to support new initiatives
  • Understand the various CX modules and applications as they relate to the college
  • Designs, develops, documents and implements integration with various applications and external sources, may need to utilize SQL scripting
  • Designs, documents and implements requested reports and queries
  • Designs, documents and implements processes required by offices to increase productivity
  • Assists, guides and supports users in the proper utilization of the applications
  • Develop, monitor and analyze reports to meet strategic and operational goals.
  • Ensure proper data integrity procedures
  • Perform installations of product upgrades
  • Keep abreast of market trends as it relates to administrative software
  • Recommend future direction as it relates to administrative software
  • Accepts other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative software management and systems management - Jenzabar CX experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of computerized report writing applications
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, Enterprise Manager, query Analyzer, scripting, stored procedures and triggers
  • Experience with report writer tools (e.g. Cognos Impromptu, Crystal), Perl, Web-based development tools and MS Windows applications is desired
  • Working knowledge of college operations a plus
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills a must
  • Communicates effectively and works well with others
  • Ability to comply with workplace guidelines and attendance requirements.

Description: Thomas More College seeks a Coordinator of Intramural Sports beginning August 1, 2010. This position will oversee Intramural team and individual sports. Responsibilities include effective relationships with all student participants, league populations and student organizations. Additional duties include on-call response for residential students. Compensation includes furnished apartment plus stipend.
