Academic Scholarships
To be considered for most merit-based scholarships, students need to submit an Application for Admission and Scholarship to the college. Scholarships awarded based on academic merit can be renewed each year provided the student maintain the conditions of the scholarship.
Departmental Scholarships
Several departments within Thomas More College offer scholarships to those qualifying students interested in pursuing a particular field of study. Art and fine arts, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, English, medical technology, pre-engineering, physics and social sciences all offer supplemental scholarships that vary in amount. Students should contact the respective department heads to learn more about the scope of the scholarships available. All departmental scholarship recipients must first be officially accepted for admission to the College. Contact the department heads for scholarship application deadlines.
Federal And State Grants
FAFSA on the WebTo apply for federal and state grants you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov). The priority deadline for this application is March 15. Students who are residents of Kentucky should apply to be considered for State Grants, such as Kentucky Tuition Grant (KTG) $2,800* per year for full-time students, and College Access Program (CAP) grant up to $1,700* per year for full and part-time students.
