Exercise & Health Strategies

The focus of the exercise and health strategies major is to prepare professionals who are ready to improve health through exercise and increased activity.  Thomas More’s graduates will be able to help individuals, teams, and communities because of the unique multidisciplinary approach of this program.

For more information on this program, please go to the Department of Sports Sciences homepage.

The exercise and health strategies major is unique to Thomas More because each student chooses an area of concentration (e.g. personal health, community health, business, or computer information systems) outside of exercise to augment the exercise and health core of the major. The areas of concentration allow students to target an area of interest and be ready to contribute to that area upon graduation.

The Department of Sports Sciences has agreements for experiential learning opportunities with St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Mercy Health, Beacon Orthopedics, NovaCare, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Drayer Physical Therapy, Black Sheep Performance, ProForce Sports Performance, Five Seasons, and Silverlake/Better Bodies.
