Two Ways To Learn
As a Business Administration
major at Thomas More, you’ll take classes to learn all about modern management
practices
and theory. You’ll also learn through on-the-job training thanks to the
participation of more than 40 companies in the Greater Cincinnati area. Valuable
co-op experience
is available at Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Citibank, Messer Construction,
Morgan Stanley, VonLehman and Company, Inc., and many more. Evening and
one-day-a-week classes give sophomores, juniors and seniors the flexibility
to schedule courses around work commitments.
Program Highlights
Experienced Faculty
90% of the business faculty have doctoral degrees before joining the Thomas More faculty.
Focused Study
You will concentrate on a specific aspect of business by choosing an area of emphasis. Your options include management/human resources, marketing, business law, finance, and quantitative analyses. Many students combine business with accounting, computer information systems, etc. The double major makes a student even more attractive to employers.
Co-op Experiences
Thomas More business majors have the chance to gain valuable experience with well-known companies including Fidelity Investments, Cincinnati Bell Information Systems, Cengage Publishing, and Cincinnati Bell Telephone.
Help The Community
We encourage all Business
Administration students to make a tangible contribution to the community through
service learning projects. You may choose to mentor at-risk
students in the Cincinnati Public School system, work with the Greater Cincinnati
Literacy Network as a tutor or help build a Habitat for Humanity home during
spring break. Any of these experiences will help you learn about the community
while you contribute to a worthwhile cause.
What You Will Learn
- An overview of the modern business world and management practice, along with a thorough background in the underlying theory.
- How to use scientific management methods and intuition in making professional decisions.
- How to weigh the ethical and moral issues involved in most decisions.
