Saints Open Season at Hanover College Invitational
(MADISON, Ind.) The Thomas More College women’s golf team opened the 2008-2009 season on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Hanover College Invitational at the Sunrise & Spring Hills Golf Club in Madison, Indiana. The event was scheduled as a 36-hole tournament was shortened to an 18-hole tournament due to the high winds that swept through Southern Indiana on Sunday (September 14, 2008) forcing the final round being cancelled.
Only three Saints posted scores as freshman Emily Larison had a 97, freshman Kelsee Muldoon had a 99 and freshman Kristen Branch had a 116.
The Saints will return to the links on Friday (September 19, 2008) when plays cross-river rival College of Mount St. Joseph in a dual match.

Golfer Named Nominee for Woman Athlete of the Year
Thomas More women's golfer Lynn Thompson was selected to represent all of NCAA Division III in women's golf as the golf nominee for the 2001-2002 Division III Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year.
Thomas More Has Its First National Champion
For the third time in four days, Thompson shot the lowest round of the day in the final round with a five-over par 77, tying her with Rachele Miller of Mary-Hardin.
