(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – Thomas More College has been chosen by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to host the Sectional Rounds of the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament on March 13-14, 2009 at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. Thomas More will be hosting Hope (Mich.) College, George Fox (Ore.) University and Oglethorpe (Ga.) University. All four teams are ranked in the Top-10 in both the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and the d3hoops.com Top-25. In the WBCA poll, Hope is ranked seconds, George Fox third, Thomas More sixth and Oglethorpe ninth. In the d3hoops.com poll, George Fox is ranked second, Hope third, Oglethorpe fifth and Thomas More seventh.

Game will get underway on Friday (March 13, 2009) at 5 p.m. when George Fox and Oglethorpe tip-off, followed by Thomas More and Hope at 7 p.m. The winners from Friday’s games will return to the Connor Center on Saturday (March 14, 2009) a 7 p.m. and will play for a bid to the National Semifinals.

Tickets will be $7 for adults and $4 for students, senior citizens and children. Tickets will be available at each participating institution this week and fans are encouraged to visit their institution’s athletic web site or contact their athletic department to find out their ticket information. Thomas More will be selling its allotment on Wednesday from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. in the athletic offices in the Connor Convocation Centers. Fans are encouraged to buy presale because game officials are expecting a sellout.
