Thiem and Dickman Named First Team All-Great Lakes
(MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.) –Thomas More College senior guard Jayme Thiem (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) and sophomore center Nicole Dickman (Park Hills, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) were both named First Team All-Great Lakes Region by the internet Web site, d3hoops.com.
Thiem was second on the team this season in scoring and rebounding as she averaged 14.1 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game. She also led the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) at the free-throw line this season as she connected on 87.5 percent (123-of-144) of her shots at the line. Thiem was also second on the team and fifth in the PAC in assists as she dished out 116 assists and was first on the team in steals with 65.
Dickman led the Saints in both scoring and rebounding this season as she averaged 14.6 ppg and 7.4 rpg. She led the nation in field goal percentage as she was 62.5 percent from the floor on 180-of-288 shooting from the field. Dickman was also third in the PAC in blocked shots with 42 was named PAC Player of the Week on three occasions.
Thiem, Dickman and the rest of the Saints finished the season with a 28-3 record and along the way won the PAC Regular Season and Tournament titles and advanced the “Sweet 16” of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
