Gee Named Academic All-District IV Second Team

(DELAWARE, Ohio) - Thomas More College senior guard Alex Gee (Cincinnati, Ohio/Glen Este) was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV Women's Basketball Second Team on Thursday (February 5, 2009) by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Gee, a two-time Academic All-District honoree carries a 3.97 grade point average in psychology.  Through 20 games she leads the team in made three point fields with 50 and is fourth on the team in scoring with 8.8 points per game.  She is second in school history for made three point field goals with 227.


Gee and rest of the No. 10-ranked Saints next play on Saturday (February 7, 2009) when they travel to Grove City, Pennsylvania for a 1 p.m. tip-off with Grove City College.


ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District teams are voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within their respective district.  District IV consists of member schools in the states of Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee and Alabama.  In order to be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, hold a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key reserve.
