Saints Ranked No. 8 in Final D3hoops.com Top-25

(MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.) - The Thomas More College women's basketball team (28-3, 13-1 PAC) finished ranked No. 8 in the final rankings of the internet Web site, d3hoops.com's Top-25 which was released today (Tuesday, March 24, 2009).  This season the Saints had their fourth straight 20 plus win season, won the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) regular season and tournament titles and advanced the NCAA Division III Tournaments' "Sweet 16."  (Complete D3hoops.com Top-25)

Thomas More Set to Host the Sectional Rounds of the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – Thomas More College has been chosen by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to host the Sectional Rounds of the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament on March 13-14, 2009 at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.  Thomas More will be hosting Hope (Mich.) College, George Fox (Ore.) University and Oglethorpe (Ga.) University.  All four teams are ranked in the Top-10 in both the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and the d3hoops.com Top-25.  In the WBCA poll, Hope is ranked seconds, George Fox third, Thomas More sixth and Oglethorpe ninth.  In the d3hoops.com poll, George Fox is ranked second, Hope third, Oglethorpe fifth and Thomas More seventh. Saints Open NCAA Tournament at Messiah College

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The sixth-ranked Thomas More College women’s basketball team will open the 2009 NCAA Division III Tournament against Randolph-Macon College on Friday (March 6, 2009) at 5:30 p.m. at Brubaker Auditorium in Grantham, Pennsylvania.  If the Saints defeat the Yellow Jackets they will advance to the second round where they would play either the host Messiah College or Eastern Connecticut State University at 7 p.m. on Saturday (March 7, 2009) at Brubaker Auditorium.  Tickets are $6 per day for adults and $3 per day for students/senior citizens and children will be available at the door.
