(LEXINGTON, Ky.) - Thomas More College sophomore middle hitter Brandi Corbello (Florence, Ky./Boone County) was named honorable mention All-America today (Wednesday, November 18, 2009) by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

Corbello, who appeared in 131 sets, led the team in kills with 414 and was second on the team in service aces with 48, while adding 323 digs and 48 blocks. Last week she was named first feam All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and first team All-Great Lakes Region.

Corbello and the Saints finished the 2009 season 28-11 overall and 13-1 in the PAC and won the PAC regular season and tournament titles and made their ninth appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
