Bramhall Named Head Coach

Thomas More Athletic Director Terry Connor announces the hiring of Lindsay Bramhall as the school’s new softball coach. Bramhall replaces Emily Price, who led the Saints to a share of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference regular-season championship in her only season.

“I am very excited to work with the student-athletes and to take this program back to regionals,” said Bramhall. “Being back in Division III is awesome. I loved Division III softball, the atmosphere and the teams. The student-athletes are there because of their love for the game.”

Her main areas for the Panthers included hitting and outfield play, along with assisting in the planning and oversight of practices, conditioning, game scheduling and recruiting.

UNC grad named head Coach

Thomas More College athletic director Terry Connor announced today that University of North Carolina graduate Emily Price will be the new softball coach at Thomas More.

“The softball program will be in good hands with Emily,” said Connor. “We are pleased to have a coach with the athletic resume she brings to campus.”

Price, who spent last season as a volunteer coach at her alma mater, brings impressive credentials to Crestview Hills. She was a four-year letterwinner for the Tar Heels where she played predominantly at shortstop. A career .320 hitter, Price still holds the single-season school record with 16 home runs. She also ranks in the school’s top ten in 12 different career categories, including holding the record for the most games played.

“I look forward to keeping the program going in the right direction and to make an impact,” said Price.

As a senior, the 2004 grad was named first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) leading the conference in five offensive categories. North Carolina finished the 2004 season at 43-20 and earned a sixth-seed in the NCAA Regionals.

She replaces all-time wins leader Everett Roper, who took the head coaching position at Div. II Saginaw Valley State University.
