(SPRINGFIELD, Ohio) - The Thomas More College men's tennis team fell, 5-0, to Wabash College and, 9-0, to Wittenberg University today (Saturday, April 17, 2010) in a tri-match at the Springfield Racquet Club in Springfield, Ohio.
With the two losses the Saints fall to 1-11 on the season.
In the match against Wabash the Saints' No. 1 doubles team of sophomore Jeff Hetzer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) and junior Evan Bryan (Petersburg, Ky./Villa Madonna) battled tough before falling, 8-1.
Against Wittenberg freshman Shane Campbell (Walton, Ky./Walton-Verona) had a competitive match at No. 5 singles before falling 6-2, 6-4.
The Saints return to action on Friday and Saturday (April 23-24) when they travel to Erie, Pennsylvania for the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament.
