(HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.) - The Thomas More College men's tennis team fell, 9-0, to Asbury University today (Wednesday, March 31, 2010) in a nonconference match at the Northern Kentucky University Courts in Highland Heights, Kentucky.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 1-5 overall and with the win Asbury improves to 2-0.
In doubles play, the No. 1 team of sophomore Andrew Hetzer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) and junior Evan Bryan (Petersburg, Ky./Villa Madonna) had competitive match, but fell 9-8 with a 7-5 tie breaker.
At No. 1 singles, Hetzer won his first set, but fell 3-6, 7-6 with a 7-2 tie breaker and 10-4.
Thomas More returns to the courts next Tuesday (April 6) when it travels to Wilmore, Kentucky to play Asbury at 4 p.m.
