Saints Finish Third at PAC Fall Invite
(WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa.) – The Thomas More College men’s golf team shot a 603 (299-304) and finished third today (Tuesday, September 30, 2008) at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Fall Invitational at the Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania.
The Saints were led by junior Joe Ruzick (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) who finished tied for second after carding a 144 (74-70). Rounding out the Saints’ scoring was sophomore Brandon Dulle (Cincinnati, Ohio/Saint Xavier) in 11th place with a 150 (75-75), junior Marty Arnzen (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Highlands) in 13th place with a 152 (72-80), freshman Jarrett Gronauer in 18th place with a 157 (78-79) and freshman J.P. Hyden in a tie for 19th place with a 158 (78-80)
Washington & Jefferson College won the team event with 587 (285-292) and Westminster College finished second with a 601 (300-301). Washington & Jefferson’s John Williams won medalist honors as he carded a 139 (71-68).
The Saints return to the links on October 7, 2008 when they travel to Springfield, Ohio to play in the Wittenberg University Invitational.

Saints In Second Place After First Round at PAC Fall Invite
(WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa.) – The Thomas More men’s golf team shot a 299 are in second place after the first round of the 36-hole Presidents’ Athletic Conference Fall Invitational at the Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania.
The Saints trail first place Washington & Jefferson College by only 14 strokes. Westminster College rounds out the top-three as it shot a 301 to sit in third place.
The Saints were led during the first round by junior Marty Arnzen (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Highlands), who is in a tie for fifth place after firing a 72. Rounding out the Saints’ scoring was junior Joe Ruzick (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) in a tie for eight with a 74, sophomore Brandon Dulle (Cincinnati, Ohio/Saint Xavier) in a tie for 12th with a 75 and freshman Jarrett Gronauer and freshman J.P. Hyden tied for 19th after they each carded a 78.
The Saints return to Oak Tree Country Club tomorrow morning (Tuesday, September 29, 2008) for the final round of the PAC Fall Invitational.

Saints Finish Sixth at Jim English-Centre Invitational
(DANVILLE, Ky.) The Thomas More College men’s golf team carded an 18-hole team total of 299 and finished sixth at the Jim English-Centre College Invitational on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the Danviille Country Club in Danville, Kentucky.
Leading the Saints was freshman J.P. Hyden who fired a one-over par 73 to finish tied for eighth place. Also placing in the Top-35 was sophomore Brandon Dulle (Cincinnati, Ohio/Saint Xavier) in tie for 19th with a 74, freshman Jarrett Gronauer with a 75 and a tie for 27th and junior Joe Ruzick (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) in a tie for 34th with a 77.
Rounding out the Saints’ scoring was junior Marty Arnzen (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Highlands) with a 78 and a tie for 41st, senior David Clifford (Tececula, Calif./Temecula Valley) and freshman Chris Hahn in a tie for 59th as each shot an 81, senior Kyle Hooover (Florence, Ky./Boone County) with an 83 and a tie for 66th and sophomore Jacob Bowman (Latonia, Ky./Holy Cross) in a tie for 69th with an 84.
Lindsey Wilson College won the team championship with a score of 287 and Lindsey Wilson’s Travis Radford won medalist honors with a three-under par 69.
The Saints return to the links on Sunday, September 28 when they play in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Fall Championship at the Oak Tree Country Club in Wexford, Pennsylvania.

Thomas More Men’s Golf Team Finishes Fourth at Transylvania
(LEXINGTON, Ky.) The Thomas More College men’s golf team carded a 36-hole team total of 618 (307-311) and finished fourth at the Transylvania University Fall Invitational on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at the University Club’s Wildcat Course in Lexington, Kentucky.
Leading the Saints was junior Joe Ruzick (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) who fired a 148 (73-75) and fished tied for seventh. In addition, sophomore Brandon Dulle (Cincinnati, Ohio/Saint Xavier) had a 158 (79-79) to finish tied for 24th, junior Marty Arnzen (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Highlands) had a 159 (78-81) to tie for 27th and seniorDavid Clifford (Tececula, Calif./Temecula Valley) had a 170 (86-84) to finish tied for 45th.
In addition and playing as individuals were freshman Jarrett Gronauer who finsihed 12th with a 150 (74-76), freshman J.P. Hyden in 21st place with a 156 (80-76) and freshman Chris Hahn in 42nd with a 164 (80-84).
Bellarmine University won the team trophy with a 582 (293-289) and Centre College’s Chris Morris won medalist honors with a 139 (68-71).
The Saints will return to the links on Thursday (September 11, 2008) when they travel to Danville, Kentucky to play in the Centre College Invitational.
