(WEXFORD) - The Thomas More College men's basketball team (19-9, 10-2 PAC) was named the 2008-2009 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Team Sportsmanship Award winner today (Wednesday, March 25, 2009) by the PAC office.

This award is sponsored by the member of the PAC Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), in an effort to recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among the Conference teams. This is the first year the team sportsmanship award has been given out in the PAC’s 19 varsity sports. Each PAC team was asked to vote for the Conference team, who displayed the highest level of sportsmanship.

This season the Saints won the program’s first-ever PAC regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in school history.
