Autenrieb and Owens Named Preseason All-Americans
(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - Thomas More College sophomore defensive back Zach Autenrieb (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) and senior defensive tackle Tyler Owens (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Highlands) have been named preseason All-Americans by multiple college football publications.
Autenrieb was named to the only preseason team by The Sporting News, while he and Owens were named to the second team by both Lindy's and D3football.com.
Autenrieb started all 12 games for the Saints last season and had 50 tackles (27 solo, 23 assisted), had one and half tackles for a loss of two yards, had a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC)-best nine interceptions and had one fumble recovery.
Owens also started all 12 games for the Saints in 2009 and had 43 tackles (23 solo, 20 assisted), including 13 tackles for a loss of 106 yards and four sacks for a loss of 47 yards.
Autenrieb and Owens and the rest of the two-time defending PAC champions Saints open the 2010 season on September 11, 2010 when they travel to Hanover, Indiana to play Hanover College at 1 p.m.
