6/10/08 MVP Highlights ClassThe Most Valuable Player of the Northern Kentucky East/West All-Star game is one of 25 all-stars from Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky that will continue their playing careers for Thomas More. Boone County product Mercier Doucette was named MVP of the Northern Kentucky game after scoring two touchdowns in leading the West team to a victory. Other Northern Kentucky All-Stars that are committed to TMC are: Joey Bricking (Dixie Hts.), Marty Malony (Dixie Hts.), Matt Ritter (NewCath), John Pabst (NewCath), Dustin Giesler (NewCath), Derrick Freeman (Dixie Hts.), E.J. Dettmer (Dixie Hts.), James Champ (Conner), Jeff West (Holy Cross), Phillip Moore (Holy Cross), Joe Forrester (Scott), Robert Walker (Holy Cross), Greg Turner (Boone County), Robert Hankinson (Scott) and Sam Brown (Boone County). Three McNicholas graduates - Stephen Rice, Matt Foltz, and James Braun - bolster the Saints' haul from Cincinnati. Billy Whiteacre (Goshen), Zack Mink (Taylor), Will Bose (Reading) and Brett Hambrick (Elder) are the other all-stars from Cincinnati. Thomas More will open its season on September 6 as the Saints open The Bank of Kentucky Field against John Carroll. 5/30/08 Saints announce Freshman ClassCRESTVIEW HILLS – Thomas More College head football coach Jim Hilvert announces that 66 recruits have committed to continue their playing careers for the Saints.
