(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) - Thomas More College Head Baseball Coach Jeff Hetzer has been appointed to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Baseball Committee. Hetzer will be the new Mideast Regional Representative and his teram of service on the committee will begin September 1, 2009 and continue through September 1, 2013.

"Jeff's appointment to the NCAA Division III Baseball Committee is a great honor for him and the College," said Athletic Director Terry Connor. "Having seen how hard the NCAA national committees work while I've attended the national tournamens Thomas More has competed in recent years, I know Jeff will have a great experience serving on the Division III Baseball Committee."

The committe meets numerous times during the spring via teleconferences, at the National Championship in May and at the scheduled retreat during the summer. The committee is responsible for evaluating teams throughout the season and with the selection and administrating of the 54-team NCAA Division III Baseball National Championship.

Hetzer, who just complete his ninth season as the skipper of the Saints and ist he program's all-time winningest coach with a 215-127-3 career record, is also the assistant athletic director at Thomas More.
