(DELAWARE, Ohio) - Thomas More College junior shortstop Chris Fishburn (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV Baseball First Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). As a first team selection, Fishburn advances to the Academic All-American ballot.

Fishburn, played in 35 games and started 34 this season and was first on the team in batting average (.385), doubles (13) and runs scored (44) and third in hits (50) and triples (2). Off the field, he has a 3.98 cumulative grade point average as a sports and entertainment marketing major.

ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District teams are voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within their respective district. District IV consists of member schools in the states of Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee and Alabama. In order to be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, hold a 3.30 grade point average and be a starter or key reserve.
