Please consider Study Abroad in Nicaragua Spring 2015. May 22-31, 2015.
You can earn up to 3 credit hours in MGT 612 Transnational Management, BUA 405 International management, or BUA 355 business elective or concentration course. You do not have to speak Spanish to take the course. Presentations are in English.Course: Doing Business in Nicaragua: Challenges and Opportunities
- Course considers global business, economic development, foreign direct investment and the history of Nicaragua, an emerging Latin American market. Focus will be on legal, financial, cultural, government and economic issues facing local and international companies in Nicaragua.
- Through visits to companies, offices, plantations, and chamber organizations, students will gain an understanding and appreciation for the complexities of international business and foreign direct investment in Nicaragua.
- Key sites may include: Coffee Farm, Cigar factory, Agro tourism, American Chamber of Commerce, Masaya Volcano, Hotel beach project, Lake Apoyo.
