Carolyn Wagner (St. Henry High School) will graduate in May with a B.A. in Art and an A.A. in Art History. She has been very active in the production of WORDS, the college art and literary journal. Her work has appeared in the journal all four years, her drawing graced the cover in the 2012 issue and she served as the art editor for the last two years. She was also chosen for the Kate Bilbo Aspiring Artist award in 2013. She is a member of the Delta Epsilon Honor Society and has maintained a 4.0 gpa for four years. In the summer of 2012 she collaborated on the graphic designs for a Toolkit for the Northern Kentucky Education Council, a project that provides materials that connect students to local businesses, bridging the gap between schooling and career. Recently she was selected from a wide circle of applicants for the photography internship at the Cincinnati Art Museum where she has been photographing works from their collection. Carolyn is best known around campus for her photography work which can be seen in her senior thesis exhibition, "Don't Blink" which is currently on display at the Eva Faris Gallery. Her thesis project features an installation of 216 4 x4 photographs, faces and figures she has encountered in her last year. In the fall she will enter the graduate program in Art History at the University of Cincinnati where she has been awarded a full tuition fellowship and was chosen for a Teaching Assistantship.
