Ms. Pauletta Hansel
Writer in Residence
Pauletta Hansel is Thomas More College’s first Writer in Residence as part of its Creative Writing Vision Program, supported by John A. Schroth Family Charitable Trust (PNC Bank, Trustee), offering both on- and off-campus writing experiences for TMC students and the community-at-large. Pauletta is author of four poetry collections, most recently The Lives We Live in Houses (Wind Publications, 2011) and What I Did There (Dos Madres Press, 2011). Pauletta’s work has been featured recently in journals including Appalachian Journal, Southern Women’s Review and Still: The Journal, and anthologized in A Kentucky Christmas and Listen Here: Women Writing in Appalachia, among others. She is co-editor of Pine Mountain Sand and Gravel, the literary publication of Southern Appalachian Writers Cooperative.
